An Evening in the Italian Countryside - A Benefit for Hooves and Paws Rescue of the Midlands.

Come join us for an evening in the country featuring music from Italy and the U.S. We'll pass the grain bucket around for donations for Hooves and Paws Rescue of the Heartland who rescues and rehabilitates horses as well as other hooved and furry friends. Bring a blanket, your favorite beverage and nosch and enjoy a nice end to the work week while supporting this wonderful rescue

Meet Mark Morello

Mark Morello is a local performer who has performed in many productions throughout the Omaha/Council Bluffs Area. He is the voice of the Santa Lucia Festival and performs annually at the festival as well as LaFesta Italiana. He is an original cast member of the Renaissance Madrigal singers and now serves as their music director,. Mark currently serves as music director/organist for St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church and is PK-4 music teacher for the Cues School System. Mark’s spare time includes working with his two horses and is active in cart driving.

Dress Code: Long pants and tennis shoes are okay with socks, and tops must cover the stomach. Riding helmets will be provided for the week. NO SHORTS. NO SANDALS. NO HALTERS!

Weather Questions: We have an indoor arena so the weather is not an issue. In the event of severe weather, the house on the property has a storm shelter.

Food: Campers are asked to bring a snack and water bottle daily. Those in the all-day camps will also need to bring a sack lunch. There is a pop machine and microwaves.

Cost: The price for the 9:00 - noon camps is $400. The price for the all-day camps is $500. There is a deposit of $25.00 due with the registration that is deducted from the final bill. The balance is due on the first day of camp.

Please Note: Campers must be picked up at the conclusion of each session. An additional charge of $10.00 per every 30 minutes will be charged for campers left over 30 minutes.

Horsemanship Camp Registration Form

During the week the campers will learn: Horse Safety, Grooming, Breeds and Colors, Tack and How to Tack a Horse, Different Ridding Styles, and much more!

Campers will be riding the majority of the day as we do not have a swimming pool or do crafts. This is a HORSE CAMP!

Scouts may earn badges or patches at camp. If a child is interested in getting a badge or patch, please indicate on the registration form.

On the last day of camp, the campers will be putting on a show for the parents and guests. Please plan on attending and bringing your camera.

Reminder: You do not need to be interested in Dressage to get value from riding with Jane. She focuses on helping you build your relationship with a horse and prioritizing the highest good for the horse.
