Below is important information about our 2024 Introduction to Horsemanship Summer Camp.

Schedule

Beginners Morning Camp (Ages 4 - 6)

Beginners Full Day Camp (Ages 7 - 13)

Beginner/Intermediate All Day Camp (Ages 7 - 13)

Advanced Full Day Camp (By Invitation ONLY)

General Information

What time do campers need to arrive? - Campers are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to each session.

Is there a dress code? - Campers are asked to wear long pants (shorts are not permitted), and are urged to wear a comfortable top that covers the stomach. All campers are required to wear helmets, which are provided. Finally, campers are encouraged to wear boots, but sneakers are OK...just no sandals.

Is there an age limit for who can attend? - There are two age groups: 4 to 6 and 7 to 13. To participate in the Beginners All Day Camp (9:00 am - 4:00 pm), the child must be at least 7 years of age.

What happens if there is bad weather? - Since we have an indoor arena, weather is not an issue. In the event of severe weather, the house on the property has a storm shelter.

What about food? - All campers are asked to bring a snack and a water bottle to each session. Campers attending one of the all-day camps also need to bring a sack lunch. There is a soda machine and a microwave at the facility.

How much does Summer Camp cost? - The morning camps (9:00 am - Noon) cost $325 per camper, and the all-day camps (9:00 am - 4:00 pm) cost $425. A $25 deposit is due with registration, and the balance of the camp cost is due on the first day of camp. Payments can be made with cash or checks (made out to American Legacy Complex). Unfortunately, we cannot accept payments made with credit or debit cards.
